Okay, so here it is, the Truth about my "Closet Blogging"...
I first began to post random ideas (which I'd previously saved in draft form over the last 2 or so years) shortly after my 3rd annual blog day (Oct. 7th) just last month!
This explains claims that "i am not blogging"! More accurately, i was not posting! ...The TRUTH? Just 3 posts in barely more than 2 years.I couldn't come out with any other posts until i had wrapped my mind around what "this blog" was going to be for me.
Needless to say this little effort has somehow turned into, we will just say multiple blogs all wrapped up into one... How could i make this simple?? I could not! I might attribute this to the need to organize my multitude of thoughts, as well as, a tendency to wrap myself up in layers, allowing only those with extreme interest to persist as in my "Onion Analogy" theory, (Feb. '08 post). Or maybe, I just have alot to say & am too long-winded for one little blog!?
My participation in the blogging world may have taken years to figure out, but the years also did something for my ability to make "blog" what i had begun to envision 2 years ago. At that time, the bells & whistles of the user friendly blogging we know today, didn't exist.
It's been an evolving couple of Years. With more ideas & alot of fun to be had, i am now on my way...
A side note:
It seems fitting to begin my posting with an Evolving Economy and a New President Elect. Happy to have the Election behind & moving on to Better days or Renewed Responsibility.

Oct. 7th 2008 ~ 3rd Annual Blog Day
Tis been a long but fast, great year!
Hurray for 2008! I plan to be thinking about the holidays soon as the busy buzz of it'all begins.
Although today is my official blog day, ive decided that it's not my coming-out of the "blog-closet" time. As i played on my keyboard last night, I thought it might be, but then i thought again. I did however, sign up with an online journaling company. This will enable me to access my personal journal at anytime and at any place. Its private, can be downloaded and backed up, and i think i will work on starting there for the time being. On getting all the many threads of my existance organized. Okay, maybe it doesn't work this way- and maybe i will soon change my mind, and decide to show off my backward but true colors! Until then...

the Night before "The Name" or Slept on it or It is what it is!
After "sleeping on it": I am thinking about renaming: "Life-joy". My Life's-joy, sort of all-encompassing. It combines two vital details & handles multiple intentions which i plan to document!
...(Later when undecided)... I enjoyed the name-game, brainstorming. However, for now "THIS is my LIFE" remains! For that is essentially what it IS!
And as my aunt RuthEllen says: "It is what it is!!"

the History of mine Blog... food for thought, sleep on it, or the story of how my mind works!
It Began with "Chasing 9". My 8 "Chasing-Life" girlfriends & I learned how to stay connected by blogging together. Then came my personal first,"Todays Tami", and on to "THIS is your LIFE!" with a side-note blog called "Truth Chasing". Yet, the perfect BLOG name eludes me. "Tami's Today" stopped working after year two! "This is your Life" implied trying to get a grip on my reality & my life! Which i am hopeful, has expired! It's time to go with something new! Here are some of the ideas i came up with...
Maybe something like "the New Hue!" or "Hey Yo! Remember Oh!" (to not waste too much time on the computer!) as time can't be retrieved! Or perhaps:
"THIS is your LIFE!!" only changing the implication from reality-check to exclamation!!! "The Earl Clan" sounds like a nice family name although documenting my family isn't necessarily my only intention. I am considering starting 2 separate blogs to use as pseudo-scrapbooks for "my Girls!", will print them out after a while for keepsakes. If i lived away from family & friends, i would indeed choose "The Earl Clan". Though, we do not currently have any intention of moving. So moving on... Would i like "Express yourself!"? Maybe not so much. "Free writing"? A free-write blog. hmmm. Or maybe something like "TOO much time on my hands"? Though its arguable from this post, the statement is generally NOT true. It is good writing practice, a hobby at large. Ooh. "A Hobby at Large"! Cool. or simply, "Simplify" is brilliant. Is this a theme blog? What is my theme? "Motivating the Millions!" (of CELLS in my body to get to work)! "It's all about doing" you know. Now that's a good reminder, right Amy? "All 'bout DOing", will think on that one. Still chasing the name... "Candid Confessions of a want-to-be". What do i want to be? The Average Jane I am? If my name was Jane, I'd choose: "Confessions of the average Jane". Maybe i can consider: "CrEaTe.Do.Be." I like it. Why not? Or "My Unsinkable Truth"?! Yeah, i like that. A close competitor to: "Motivating the Millions!" Some good ideas here. In fact, a whole lot more ideas than action!
I still have two days till my annual Blog Day, wherein i can decide if I'm going to break out of my blogging closet or wait another year~ Maybe I like Chasing Life. Oct. 7th 2007 ~ 2nd Annual Blog Day
The year of the move...
Wow!! Unbelieveably, and coincidentally it has been a whole year since my first (& last) post! I think i'd like to post at least once a year!!
This year.... a move in residence, many associations & experiences later, i am in a distinctly different place than i was in '06. Although i am yet to conclude what blogger will do or be for ME, I hope to make it a place for thoughts & evaluation, gratitude & remembering.
A place to organize photos & document the days of life which at times, seem to escape so quickly! Also, a place to write, think, pause and enjoy. A place to prioritize the minutes spent in a day. And maybe somehow, a place to give back. Having a forum to discuss ideas with friends would be fab as well. So, we shall see! And after a year, I take a step toward doing it! A friend once said: "It's ALL about "doing!" Hmmm, new thought there?! Without doing i suppose there is only intentions.
Intentions, meant to give direction, can't facilitate a destination without doing; application & effort. Doing, required. And so i must do, or there may not be a question of regret. And so blog is born.
Who came up with "Blog?" What a great word!

Oct. 7th 2006 ~ (1st Annual Blog Day)
The First Day. It just began, the day, the week... I watch the midnight hour begin. I frequent this hour lately. It's the most peaceful, it quiet, serene & productive.
